Compliance with Laws & Consular Services

Students must comply with all applicable laws and regulations while on a Duke-administered program. If the program takes place outside of the United States, students are required to comply with all laws and regulations of the host country and/or city, including those regarding required travel documents, such as obligations to obtain visas or other study permits. If you are leading a program outside of the United States, please make sure that you have educated yourself about any laws in the host country that may affect the students while they are visiting, and be sure to explain these laws/regulations to the students during your in-country orientation session(s). Please contact Duke Immerse if you have any concerns about students complying with laws while on the program, whether in the United States or abroad.
