Costs and Payments

Program costs for Duke Immerse programs are based on Duke’s tuition and a program-specific fee. All Duke Immerse semesters have a $1,500 program fee. This fee is in addition to regular Duke tuition, fees, and room and board, and for students receiving need based financial aid, this fee is covered by the Duke Karsch Office of Financial Support.

Charges for Duke tuition, room, board, and program fee will appear on your Duke Bursar account once you enroll in the individual Duke Immerse courses. The program fee partially covers the cost of the student’s program-related costs (transportation, program meals when off-campus, lodging when off-campus). What the fee does not cover in terms of program-related transportation, meals while off-campus, and lodging while off-campus, Duke Immerse funds.

Students are responsible for additional personal expenses and incidentals while traveling.

Non-Duke Students

Non-Duke students will also be billed via the Duke Bursar account, which is accessible using a Duke NetID and password. Non-Duke students are issued a NetID and password by the university’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) upon admission to a Duke In study away program. Emails containing NetID activation instructions are sent upon enrollment; please keep the information in a secure place.

For questions about your NetID and password, please contact the OIT Service Desk.
